I usually purchase travel insurance through Allianz for added security and peace of mind for health emergencies and travel delays/interruptions. Due to the monsoon that delayed my trip by one day, I had to rebook my flight to Seoul, cancel my last night stay in Puerto Princesa, and cancel my first night stay in Seoul. Thankfully, the Balabac tour company, ATX Travel & Tours, took care of our extra night in paradise and our meals. We ended up booking a motorbike tour with our guide to explore Balabac mainland for our extra day in paradise - relaxing and fun! After my Asia trip, I was able to submit an Allianz claim for travel delay/interruption and uploaded all supporting documents (Philippines Coast Guard Notice, hotel and Airbnb invoices, and new flight invoice). I had one phone call with a representative to review my claim.
