BI confirms Legarda and son left PH in separate flights The Bureau of Immigration confirms that Senator Loren Legarda and her son, Congressman Leandro Leviste, left the country on August 2. The bureau said Legarda and Leviste left in separate flights on the same day. An immigration spokesman said both had no derogatory records at the time of departure. Senate President Win Gatchalian, meanwhile, said he has no information regarding Legarda's departure. But he said a senator does not need travel authority from the Senate if the trip is personal. Senate Secretary Renato Bantug confirmed that Legarda's office had earlier informed the Senate secretariat that the lawmaker would be on medical leave. The medical leave is from August 3 to 5.
