CONDEMNATION!!!! 👎🇨🇳 The act of a Chinese military representative handing a note directly to Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. while he was speaking at an international defense forum is deeply inappropriate and disrespectful. Diplomatic disagreements are expected. But international forums should be places for dialogue, mutual respect, and adherence to international law—not intimidation, interruption, or pressure. The Philippines has every right to defend its sovereignty, maritime rights, and national interests. The 2016 arbitral ruling is an established part of the legal framework surrounding the South China Sea, and disagreement with a ruling does not justify disrespecting the forum or the officials participating in it.
