I went looking for a place to train in Manila and I found the PERFECT "bakal" gym! For only ₱60, I got to experience a real local barangay gym, meet some of the neighborhood guys, and see what the fitness culture is truly like here in the Philippines.
After a solid session, I had to refuel with some local street food. I stopped by a carinderia to try their "crab cakes" and other Filipino favorites—and it did not disappoint. This is the side of Manila I love!
If you're new to KyKy Abroad, I'm an American traveler sharing my journey as I explore the food, culture, and people of the Philippines and beyond.
