DPWH flags substandard flood control project in La Union Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon on Tuesday, September 16, flagged a “super substandard” flood control project in Barangay Acao, Bauang, La Union. During the inspection with Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, who also serves as Independent Commission for Infrastructure special adviser, Dizon spotted tubes attached to the structure that he described as mere “props.” Although marked as completed in March 2025, the project was still under construction when inspected.
