Finding a Spot for Our Future Farmhouse! | Route 1258 SE2 EP17

The dream is slowly becoming a plan. In Episode 17 of Route 1258, Chino joins Nanay for a walk around the farm—not just to explore this time, but to start organizing and planning the different facilities of the Learning Site. We visit the restaurant, fishpond, soil production area, the hagutan ng abaca, terrace garden, and other parts of the property while figuring out how each area should be identified and presented to future visitors. It's interesting seeing the farm from a different perspective. What used to simply be "the fishpond" or "the place where they process abaca" now needs proper labels, organization, and a clearer purpose as the Learning Site continues to develop. And because farm planning apparently makes you hungry, we also stop by Sikwate Diner where Ate Nilda asks Chino to taste-test their new BBQ offering. We talk about serving size, marinade, flavor, and the little adjustments that can turn a simple product into something customers will actually come back for. Then comes the part we're most excited about. Hannah and Chino walk around the property looking for possible locations for our future farmhouse. We're not building it yet. We still have to work, save, plan, and figure out exactly what kind of home makes sense for the life we want here. But we're hoping that, if everything goes well, we can begin building next year. So for now, we walk. We imagine where the house could face. What we'd want to wake up to. Where The Bugoys could play. How close we should be to the rest of the family. And how our home could become part of the larger vision we're slowly building on this land. There's still so much to do. But that's also one of the most exciting parts of starting from almost nothing—you get to watch the ideas in your head slowly become real.
