Visit Guatapé (@guatape_colombia), a picturesque town known for its vibrant colors, stunning lake views, and iconic Rock of Guatapé (Piedra del Peñón) a little over an hour away from Medellin.
Must-see attractions in Guatapé:
1. 🪨 Rock of Guatapé (Piedra del Peñón): A 200-meter-tall monolith with stunning views. Hike to the top by climbing over 700 steps for breathtaking views.
2. Guatapé Lake (Lago Guatapé): Enjoy boat tours, kayaking, paddleboarding, or relax at the lake’s edge.
3. 🏡 Colorful Town Center (Zona Rosa): Admire the vibrant houses, shops, and street art. Explore the town’s stone cobbled streets, unique shops, and cafes.
4. 🚃 Take an adorable, tiny moto chiva around town.
5.🦙 🐐 🫏 stop at @elaltodelchocho to pet llamas, donkeys, horses & goats
6. 🍫 take a chocolate workshop at @cuscun_chocolombia
I stayed at the glamping hotel @bosko_guatape and it has the cutest dome rooms with jacuzzi and views of the lake.
Such a fun trip! I can’t wait to go back for the Festival of Flowers in August.
