Walking through the vibrant streets of Manila with a camera in hand is always an experience—doing it with my son makes it unforgettable. In this short photowalk, we explored P. Ocampo Street and the historic area around Intramuros. Armed with the classic Fujifilm X-T1 paired with the budget-friendly TTArtisan 50mm f/2 (a 75mm full-frame equivalent), I set out to capture the raw, unfiltered energy of daily Manila life: candid street portraits, local establishments, playing kids, stray animals, and the quiet moments in between. There’s something special about using a tight 50mm manual lens for street photography—it forces you to slow down, compose intentionally, and look closer at the world around you.
