Senate ratings fall as House gains in 2nd quarter OCTA survey

Public opinion of the two chambers of Congress moved in opposite directions in the second quarter of 2026. That’s according to the latest survey of OCTA Research. The survey showed that trust in the Senate fell from 44 percent in the first quarter to 41 percent in the second quarter. In contrast, trust in the House increased from 36 percent to 38 percent. OCTA Research says the survey period overlapped with the Senate leadership change and the opening of the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. The survey has one-thousand two-hundred respondents. It has a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points.
