Senators, Marcos laud Eala’s historic win

Before resuming the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, the senator-judges congratulated Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala. In his remarks, Presiding Officer Chiz Escudero said he believed everyone was united in celebrating Eala’s historic achievement. Senator Joel Villanueva has filed a resolution congratulating and commending Eala for capturing the DC Open women’s singles championship. In a Facebook post, President Marcos congratulated Eala. The President said Eala continued to inspire young Filipinos to dream. But Malacañang said the President probably did not watch the match.
