The Marcos dynasty is one of the most consequential political families in Philippine history. This visual documentary explores how authoritarian rule, political power, narratives of wealth, family networks, exile, return, public memory and political mythology became intertwined across decades. Rather than recreating historical events with artificial live-action footage, the film uses a handcrafted paper-cut investigative aesthetic: archival-style photographs, maps, timelines, documents, newspaper fragments, financial records, family trees and evidence boards. The story distinguishes between documented historical records, reported claims and contested narratives.
