The Philippines 🇵🇭 is absolutely stunning - but there are a few things every Indian traveller should know before visiting. Here’s everything I wish I knew before my trip.
✨ Indians can travel visa-free (subject to eligibility).
A few tips that’ll make your trip smoother:
💰 Budget a little extra - the Philippines isn’t as cheap as many expect.
💵 Carry cash, especially for smaller islands and remote areas.
🎟️ Book activities online (Klook/GetYourGuide usually have the best deals).
🥗 Vegetarians: plan ahead, as options are limited outside major cities.
🛂 Keep your return ticket, hotel bookings, and proof of funds handy for immigration.
🚦 Spend just a day in Manila if possible - traffic is intense. Don’t miss Intramuros!
🚇 Explore Manila by Metro - it’s cheap, convenient, and a great way to experience the city. Many routes, especially towards Intramuros, still have older non-AC coaches, giving you an authentic glimpse of local life.
🏝️ Learn swimming if you can - most of the country’s best experiences are in the water.
🌊 Boracay is a must, and if you’re in Cebu, don’t skip Kawasan Falls canyoneering.
Also pack:
✔️ Reef-safe sunscreen
✔️ A dry bag
✔️ Motion sickness tablets
✔️ A waterproof phone case
The Philippines is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve travelled to, and a little planning makes the experience even better.
📌 Save this for your trip and share it with someone planning to visit!
