BBM' House justice committeee chairperson Gerville Luistro on Monday (May 11) said the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte is not about a political clash between the Duterte and Marcos camps, but about the "best interest of the Filipino people." While acknowledging that impeachment is inherently a political process, Luistro maintained that the complaint against the vice president is about accountability. Luistro is set to take the floor during the House plenary session later today, where she will present and defend the articles of impeachment before lawmakers vote on whether to elevate the case to the Senate for trial.
